The conference "Assuring Food and Nutrition Security in Africa by 2020: Prioritizing Action, Strengthening Actors, and Facilitating Partnerships" is organized by the 2020 Vision Initiative of the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) and cohosted by the Government of the Republic of Uganda. The program is being developed in close consultation with a distinguished advisory committee chaired by Dr. J. J. Otim, special adviser to President Museveni. The conference is the centerpiece of a longer-term consultative process on African food and nutrition security cosponsored by the following organizations:
