Learning and Capacity Strengthening
The Learning and Capacity Strengthening (L&CS) Program brings together IFPRI researchers and other collaborators to conduct learning events and distance-education programs; design and produce publicly accessible learning modules; develop networks and linkages that support higher-education and other institutions engaged in agricultural innovations; and conduct research on learning and capacity strengthening in agricultural innovation and development policy analysis. Through this program, KCID generates new knowledge in collaboration with partners and strengthens the capacity of individuals and institutions in food and agricultural innovation systems, universities, and government agencies in order to reduce hunger and poverty. The L&CS Program also complements IFPRI’s overall food policy research and capacity-strengthening activities and creates essential linkages with other Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR) centers and partners at the global, regional, and national levels.
