Under this research area, the Knowledge, Capacity, and Innovation Division (KCID) analyzes data on investments in, and national policies regarding, agricultural R&D, and examines the factors that inhibit or enhance the performance of agricultural science and technology. Specific attention is given to the study of changes and trends in science and technology policy to help policymakers, researchers, and other R&D actors make meaningful comparisons among different countries, different types of actors, and different points in time.
