The seminar will explore the latest findings emerging from a series of action research studies in eastern and southern Africa undertaken by the Regional Network on AIDS, Livelihoods and Food Security (RENEWAL) and how these findings are being translated into more effective policy and programming in the context of AIDS. This will be followed by a short presentation of plans for the next phase of RENEWAL activity (2007-2010) and an extended discussion of remaining knowledge and policy gaps in which participants are encouraged to share their institutional experiences in this field.
