Tidiane Ngaido is a joint research fellow with IFPRI and the International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas (ICARDA). Ngaido received a B.S. in physical and human geography from Cheikh Anta Diop University in Senegal (1982) and an M.A. in agricultural economics (1986), an M.S. in land resources (1986), and a Ph.D. in land resources, all from the University of Wisconsin. He joined IFPRI in 1996 to research the links between property rights, adoption of technology, investment, productivity, and rangeland management in the low-rainfall areas of West Asia and North Africa. Ngaido is a citizen of Senegal. Previously he was a research assistant at the Land Tenure Center of the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
