Guillaume Gruere joined IFPRI in March 2005 as a postdoctoral fellow in the Environment and Production Technology Division. His work focuses on marketing and trade related regulations of the products of agricultural biotechnology. He also works on market development for underutilized plant species with the dual purpose of income generation and the conservation of biodiversity.
Dr. Gruere obtained his PhD in agricultural and resource economics from the University of California Davis in 2005. He also holds an M.S in environmental and natural resource economics and a M.S. and B.S. in agriculture engineering (Diplome d'Ingenieur) from the Institut National Agronomique Paris-Grignon (now called AgroParisTech), the French Grande Ecole on Life Sciences. Dr Gruere is a citizen of France.
