Training as Part of the Collaborative Research Process

Source: Nico Heerink
IFPRI will develop a training program to address the needs of Chinese agricultural economists working in the agricultural policy research system. In addition, short-term training for the immediate needs of the projects, as well as longer-term training programs for Chinese trainers and teachers, will also be organized. Longer-term training will focus on those subjects that receive little attention in formal education, such as quantitative methods in agricultural policy analysis. Through IFPRI’s small grants initiative, the China program will also provide training to young researchers.
