Title: Policy Simulation for Agricultural Diversification

Summary: Team members obtained industry specific information on the sugar, coffee and livestock sectors to simulate the likely impact of rural diversification efforts in Viet Nam and appropriate policy responses to support this process. In February 1998, a training session was held to demonstrate the model to officials from MARD and other government and research organizations. Results were also presented at 3 seminars to MARD officials, academics, scientists and donors.
