Summary: This study provided an overview of the food processing sector in Viet Nam, focusing on rice, coffee, seafood, and fruits and vegetables. It sought to determine how trade liberalization instigated by the ASEAN Free Trade Agreement (AFTA) would be likely to affect the food processing sector, and what the government could do to ease the adjustment.
