Title: Development Strategy for Central Viet Nam

Summary: This project is designed to assist the Ministry of Planning and Investment in preparing a development strategy for the poorest macro-region in Viet Nam, aimed at promoting sustainable growth, reducing poverty and containing rural-urban income differences in the region. IFPRI's contribution will involve the development of an benchmark social accounting matrix (SAM) and its use to analyze the likely effects of alternative growth paths.
